Summary: In the past few years, it has been possible to verify in Brazil the high rates of deforestation of the Atlantic Rainforest vegetation, which has resulted in the substitution of the forest for other uses related to the dynamics of the land. The use of geotechnologies and Remote Sensing has contributed to the diagnosis and monitoring of land use and land cover in the most diverse Biomes. We have to analyze the dynamics in the landscape through the observation of visible and invisible elements in which the use of satellite images is present. This research aims to investigate the forest cover of the Jucu River Basin between 2007 and 2020, using Remote Sensing. We will use satellite images in the time-lapse mentioned to discuss the patterns concerning the dynamics of land use and land cover in the basin.
